Team Adventure Kids is a children’s book series created and written by Kevin J. Dill and Illustrated by Zayha. It is a smart and lively new series featuring a diverse lovable cast of characters. The goal of the series is to teach kids about communication, compassion, friendship, diversity and the joy of using their imaginations
Meet the Characters
Jumpy Jackie: AKA Jumpy J
Jumpy J is an 8 year old Mexican. She is one of two Team Adventure Kids not born in the U.S.A. She lived in Mexico till she was 2 and lived in San Diego until she was 8. Her favorite season is summer her favorite color is pink and favorite number 9. She likes to read fairy tale books especially ones with princesses. She loves animals at home she has a cat named Jasmine a dog named Bell a fish named Ariel and frog named Tiana. When she grows up she wants to be a veterinarian.
Clueless Cliff: AKA C.C.
C.C. is an 8 year old Native American and is one of the three founding members of the Team Adventure Kids. C.C is the carefree member of the team and he can be kind of oblivious sometimes. His favorite color is brown and favorite number is 2. He loves to read detective books and loves Sherlock Holmes. His favorite season is autumn and when he grows up he wants to be a detective.
Spunky Suzie: AKA Spunky
Spunky is an 8 year old Asian American and is one of the 3 founding members of the Team Adventure Kids. Spunky is a tomboy. She does not like to wear dresses and she much rather go to karate practice then a tea party. Her favorite color is red and favorite number 3. She likes to read adventure books of all kinds but ones with dragon are her favorite. Her favorite time of year is spring and when she grows up she wants to be a lawyer.
Danger Donnie: AKA Danger D
Danger D is an 8 year old African American and is one of the 3 founding members of Team Adventure Kids. Danger D loves sports but enjoys X-sports like skate boarding and BMX biking the most. His favorite color is blue and favorite number 5. He loves to read graphic novels and watch animes. His favorite season is autumn and when he grows up he wants to be X-sports athlete.
Loofy Luke: AKA Loofy
Loofy is an 8 year old Caucasian American. He got his name Loofy because he is kind of clumsy. Loofy’s favorite season winter, favorite color blue and his favorite number is 9. Loofy likes to read books about knights and dragons they really inspire him. He is very creative and loves to come up with plans and stories. When he grows up he wants to write fantasy books for kids.
Busy Body Beth: AKA Busy B.B.
Busy B.B is an 8 year old Indian. She is one of two Team Adventure kids not born in the U.S.A but her family moved here when she was 2 years old. Busy B.B loves science it is her favorite subject in school and her favorite school activity is the science fair. Her favorite color is blue and favorite number 8. Her favorite types of books to read are mystery books. Her favorite season is winter and when she grows up she wants to be a chef.

Jumpy Jackie's First Day of School
It’s Jackie’s first day of third grade at Vernon Elementary, and she’s feeling nervous and jumpy. She and her family have just moved from San Diego, and Jackie is worried about making friends at her new school. While she waits in the principal’s office, Jackie is suddenly startled when a girl walks in behind her - but Suzie (“Call me Spunky”) is friendly and welcoming, and Jumpy Jackie soon finds herself on a brand-new adventure! In Jumpy Jackie’s First Day of School, Jackie meets the other members of Team Adventure Kids and learns about communication, compassion, and friendship.
Choices
Sam does not notice on his way to school, he accidentally drops his school money on the side walk. His classmate Amy sees Sam drops his money and picks it up. Instead of giving it back to him however she makes the choice to keep it. Now Amy has to deal with the choice she made and how it makes her feel. Choices is a children’s book that teaches kids that the choices a person makes can not only affect them but others around them.
Welcome to the City of Zoora!
All animals live together peacefully in the city of Zoora—but that peace is threatened when the Danger Villains rob Bubba Bear's Cookie Bank and steal the animals’ peanut butter raisin cookies and the recipe! In desperation, Mayor Lion turns to the only ones who can help the protectors of Zoora: The Spunky Heroes. Can the Spunky Heroes stop the Danger Villains or will they escape with Zoora's precious peanut butter raisin cookies?

Meet the Creators
Creator and Writer
Kevin J. Dill
Kevin J. Dill was born June 28, 1981 on the south side of Chicago. He attended grammar schools on the south side of Chicago at Dixon, St Clotilde and St. Dorthy's. It is at St. Dorthy's that Kevin discovered his love for writing during a 6th grade project he wrote his first short story "Kevin Spade in The Lost Ruby". At CVS high school Kevin focused on other career paths namely electronics. He went on to major in Electrical Engineering at NIU for three years before leaving to go to Devry for one year. After not finding fulfillment in his chosen area of study Kevin proceeded to work odd jobs at Jewel, Binny's Beverage Depot and US Energy Savings Corp until coming to work at Whole foods Market. At Whole Foods Kevin found stability that allowed him to work on himself. Eventually Kevin began to feel the urge to write again something he had long since left behind. He took a writing workshop at the Writer's loft with Jerry Cleaver on Chicago north side it was there Kevin realized that his true passion in life had always been writing. Since then through his writings Kevin has been trying to use his imagination to open up new worlds for others and in turn bringing his life true purpose to fruition. Now with the Team Adventure Kids series his dream has become a reality.
Illustrator
Jose Zayas
Jose Zayas goes by his artist/dj name Zayha. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois just blocks from Cabrini Green. He has been drawing since the age of four and has many styles and techniques under his belt. Besides being a well versed artist his talents include music production, djing, sculpting, animation, digital and graphic design, special effects production, video game development, film production and editing, event planning, mask and mold making. He has worked with many different artists, musicians and entertainers over the years. He started his company Gutta Ave Studios in order to get his own projects and visions out into the world. He teamed with Kevin J Dill to start the brand Team Adventure Kids in which he is the content producer/co-owner.
